剧情简介
       一颗名叫Orpheus的小行星和一颗彗星相撞后，很多残留的碎片笔直向地球飞来。为了拯救地球，美国和前苏联不得不相继曝光各自部署在地球轨道上的核武器平台。美国人希望将双方的核弹头集中起来，共同摧毁Orpheus残片，苏联人勉为其难地答应了。正当双方的精英科学家思考如何将两座太空核武平台整合起来时，一些先期抵达的碎片先后击中了西伯利亚、意大利、瑞士和香港，随后是纽约。随着第一块碎片掉落在中央花园里，无数火球紧跟着从天而降……世贸中心的双塔在火球的轰击中倒塌了。与此同时，前苏联和美国的太空核武平台先后开火，Orpheus的威胁被消除了。
      本片诞生于冷战期间，既有强烈的冷战味道，又有强烈的反冷战味道，说明当时的电影人对冷战抱有极其困惑的态度。

看这个想起前几天的那个新片，一个路数，都是彗星撞地球来了，哈哈~
不过这部里面的康纳利真的好年轻啊
